Mai Educational Scholarship – A Full Learning Journey for Children
Mai Gaballah Educational Scholarship – A Full Learning Journey for Children
The Mai Gaballah Educational Scholarship offers children a unique opportunity to benefit from a full learning journey throughout an academic year. It supports children in marginalized areas who have been deprived by circumstance of their basic right to quality education—providing not only academic subjects, but an education that nurtures character development through specialized programs such as library activities, crafts, arts, mental and physical health, and physical education. The scholarship also provides school uniforms and all writing and school supplies free of charge.
The scholarship is offered to children enrolled in Man Ahyaha community schools, ensuring they receive a holistic and supportive educational environment that fosters both their academic and personal growth.
The scholarship was established in recognition of Mai’s lasting legacy, a pioneering woman in the fields of humanitarian work and development, who dedicated her life to supporting the most marginalized communities around the world, helping them survive, heal, and regain control over their future. Her words were never just lines written in her professional biography—they reflected her true spirit. She left a profound impact on the lives of thousands of children through education and humanitarian work, and on her family, friends, and colleagues through her leadership, discipline, honesty, joy for life, warmth, and her ability to listen deeply to everyone around her.
The Mai Gaballah Educational Scholarship continues her mission by supporting the education of children in Man Ahyaha schools, offering them hope for a better future, and preserving the human values and positivity that inspired everyone throughout her life.
