Al-Bahrawa School Complex

Al-Baharwa School Complex – Al-Ayyat, Giza

The establishment of the Al-Baharwa School Complex was a response to a tragic incident in which two children lost their lives on their way to school due to the absence of a nearby school in the village. This event sparked strong community action, with local residents and organizations collaborating to provide land, and Man Ahyaha took the initiative to build and operate the complex, creating a dedicated educational space for children in the area.

A Comprehensive Learning Environment

The complex provides primary school children with a holistic educational experience based on integrated learning, focusing on the development of various skills through:

Arts and crafts spaces to foster children’s creativity
A well-equipped library to enhance reading and critical thinking
Playgrounds and outdoor areas for physical activity and interactive learning
Technology classes to introduce modern tools and develop 21st-century skills

Education that Supports the Community
The complex is not limited to education alone; it also serves as a training hub for teachers, enhancing teaching methods, improving education quality, and ensuring sustainable impact on both children and the local community.

Serving the Local Community
The complex accommodates approximately 180 students from Al-Baharwa village and over 4 surrounding hamlets. It includes 6 community schools within a total area of 500 square meters, divided into 13 different spaces, including classrooms and activity areas.

Al-Baharwa School Complex is a living model of community-based education, providing a safe, stimulating, and diverse environment, and ensuring that children have access to learning and growth opportunities within their own community without the need to travel long distances.
