” Monitoring and Evaluation specialist”

 -Accountabilities/Responsibilities

Monitoring and evaluation of project’s activities:

1. 1. Support and facilitate the design of M&E frameworks for the project that meets or exceeds donor M&E and reporting requirements.
   2. Lead in development of appropriate tools for project monitoring or review existing tools to be in line with the needs of the project.
   3. Lead in assessments and evaluation at the end of the project and in the midline. This will include identification of consultants (if required) development /review of tools and technical review of reports.
   4. Undertake regular field monitoring of all ongoing project’s activities in close coordination with the team.
   5. Develop, maintain and update as necessary the M&E plans for the project consistent with the approved project M&E frameworks.

Project reporting:

1. 1. Take the lead in collecting, analyzing and reporting on relevant indicators for donor reports as well organizational-wide M&E system
   2. Review internal project progress reports such as monthly reports and provide feedback to teams.
   3. Contribute to development and reviews of donor reports.
   4. Analyze reporting gaps and identify corrective actions needed.
   5. Provide support to the team members to ensure quality reporting while also building their capacity to ensure compliance.

Project data management and analysis:

1. 1. Together with the project team, harmonize and standardize existing data collection, analysis and reporting tools and systems.
   2. Undertake analysis and reporting of all data collected from the field and identify learning points /trends for improving quality.
   3. Develop a clear mechanism of tracking performance indicators for projects. This will include development of M&E plans for new and/or ongoing activities.
   4. Monitor progress of project indicators, maintain project data and keep up to date record of all data/information required for measuring project performance indicators.

Staff Capacity building:

1. 1. Undertake M&E knowledge and skills capacity assessment of project staff and provide recommendations for addressing any gaps identified.
   2. Design and implement tailored in –house M&E training for the projects team.
   3. Coordinate with the educational team to support teachers in assessing their progress with students.

  • Possibility of traveling to governorates .

Education:

Minimum University degree in social sciences, information management, Statistics or other closely related disciplines.

Additional training on M&E.

Experience:

At least 3 years of relevant work experience in program monitoring and evaluation, preferably in the education field

MS Office , High-level proficiency in Ms. Excel and quantitative analysis techniques such as SPSS, STATA, etc

Terms of Employment

This position is most suitable for people who are interested in gaining more experience in  community schools. Applicants should consider that they will need to visit the community schools regularly, which are located in Ayyat and Sohag . 

Contract Length: 1 year renewable contract.

full-time, 5 days , 8 hours .

Salary: Salary dependent on skills, experience and education.
