Man Ahyaha’s educational philosophy is a result of combining contextual local knowledge with a number of internationally adopted philosophies and pedagogies such as community-based learning, the integrated learning approach, education for sustainable development and holistic education in order to develop a unique approach suited for our Egyptian villages and communities.
Man Ahyaha believes that education happens while interacting with one’s community, keeping in mind that a child can’t be raised independent from his/her community and its own unique culture and ideas. Our educational spaces vary according to the communities in which they’re located and our learning experiences are designed with local culture, heritage, resources and challenges in mind, fostering our children’s sense of identity and belonging.
